Operations Manager-Morrisville, PA

Summary of Position:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 3-5 years of Operations and Management experience who will take full ownership of the Operations for our Morrisville, PA division. The Operations Manager should be able to make independent decisions in a manner that supports company goals while mitigating risk. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to establish and maintain relationships with within the organization. Applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with Company policies and vision

· Setup layout of material and ensure efficient space utilization

· Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping requirements

· Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

· Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; follow up on work results

· Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

· Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

· Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree desired, comparable experience will be considered

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hand-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Strong and independent decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
