Job Summary

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for making independent re-stocking decisions that directly affect inventory levels and material costs and indirectly affect Gross Profit percentage and inventory turns. Communicate effectively with Sales force to support their requirements with specific customer special inventory.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for acquisition of materials, supplies, and services.
  • Enter shop orders and schedule deliveries for material.
  • Researches sales records and inventory levels of current stock, and stay current on any changes in either the supply of, or demand for needed products and materials.
  • Ensure company inventory is maintained in accordance to company policies.
  • Support Sales to help facilitate new sales opportunities
